Early variation with the classic "Walt Disney" wordmark, used on 1980s releases. Variation with bold "HOME VIDEO" text, mainly seen on covers for Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection releases. This logo was used as a print logo and on VHS, Laserdisc and most pre-2002 DVD releases.
Technique: Rotoscoped cel animation. Audio: The orchestral fanfare from the Mickey Mouse's 50th Birthday logo, composed by Buddy Baker. Availability: Seen on releases from the company from this time period until 1984. It would later be used in tandem with the next logo.
In late 2010, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment began releasing their 3D movies in the Blu-ray 3D format, starting with A Christmas Carol and Alice in Wonderland.
