The deceleration effect is applied to enemies when they are hit by Blackbeard, and is activated when Blackbeard is upgraded to upgrade two. This effect makes enemy troops two times slower than they normally are. The effect is permanent. Leveling Blackbeard up does not affect the deceleration effect.
Troops sell for half their cost of deployment plus upgrades.

•Timeskip Blackbeard was the first unit added to the game with an ability that can slow down enemies, the others being Getsuga Ichigo with the Dark Spiritual Orb, Subaru with his Global: Zero manual ability, Baraggan (Resurrección), and Katakuri (along with his evolution versions).
•Timeskip Blackbeard was the third unit added to the game based on a Yonko, the second being Kaido and the first being Whitebeard. The fourth was Shanks, a limited-time unit, and the fifth was Big Mom.
•Timeskip Blackbeard was the first unit in-game to require 2 different 5 star units to evolve. Perfect Susano-o Kakashi was the second.
•Timeskip Blackbeard is the only 6 star in the game that has worse DPS than its 5 star, but his slow effect makes up for it.
•Beginning at Upgrade 2, Timeskip Blackbeard has a voiceline of him laughing. Said voiceline has become a meme in the community. ZEHAHA!
•Timeskip Blackbeard has the first orb in-game that reduces the SPA of a unit.
