Harold Allan Clarke (born 5 April 1942) is an English rock singer, who was one of the founding members and the original lead singer of the Hollies.

In 1999, having come to the realization that he could no longer sing those songs to the best of his ability, Clarke retired from the music business.
As co-founder and lead vocalist with the mighty Hollies, he was the frontman of such indelible singles as 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother,' 'The Air That I Breathe,' 'I'm Alive’, 'Long Cool Woman’ and dozens more.
In the first part of our interview with the former lead vocalist of the Hollies, Allan Clarke, he talked about his heyday with the band and the hits that made the group famous. For fans, Clarke’s story ended in the late 1990s, when he left the music behind to concentrate on family matters.
