Who Killed the Cat? is a 1966 British crime film directed by Montgomery Tully and starring Mary Merrall, Ellen Pollock and Amy Dalby. The screenplay was by Maurice J. Wilson and Tully, based on the 1956 play Tabitha by Arnold Ridley and Mary Cathcart Borer.
Adapted from the play Tabitha by Arnold Ridley, which was published a decade earlier, the story concerns a devious widow who attempts to oppress three elderly ladies and kills the cat of one of them, but providence takes its vengeance on her.

WHO KILLED THE CAT? is a slightly oddball, long forgotten British murder mystery with an old-fashioned feel to it; hard to believe this was released during the Swinging Sixties. A trio of pleasant old ladies find themselves persecuted by a younger lady, thus setting up a plot which involves poisoning and the titular moggy.
