Benjamin Shalom Bernanke ( Augusta, 13 de dezembro de 1953) é um economista estadunidense, de origem judaica, ex-presidente da Reserva Federal (FED), o banco central dos Estados Unidos. Bernanke assumiu esse posto em Fevereiro de 2006 em substituição de Alan Greenspan.

Biographical. Iwas born December 13, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, but spent my childhood and teenage years in Dillon, South Carolina. Dillon, a town of about 6,000 people, lies just west of the Little Pee Dee River, in the northeastern part of the state.
