He was also an Egyptologist who helped decipher the Rosetta Stone.
Thomas Young (13 juin 1773 à Milverton – 10 mai 1829 à Londres), est un physicien, médecin et égyptologue anglais. Son excellence dans de nombreux domaines non reliés fait qu'il est considéré comme un polymathe, au même titre, par exemple, que Léonard de Vinci, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz ou Francis Bacon.
