Thomas Del Ruth ASC (born May 1, 1942) is a retired American cinematographer . Biography. Del Ruth was born in 1942 in Beverly Hills, California, as the son of film director Roy Del Ruth, [2] and actress Winnie Lightner.
Tom began his career as a Print Model and Commercial Actor in 1965 after serving in the US Army as a Paratrooper. But he new his real desire laid behind the camera. As a result he enrolled in USC Cinema School while working at Walt Disney Studio's in the Mail and Message Department.
