Língua soguediana. Soguediano[ 1] ou sogdiano[ 2] foi uma língua iraniana média, falada em Soguediana, no vale do rio Zarafexã, no que hoje em dia são o Tadjiquistão e o Uzbequistão . O soguediano é uma das mais importantes línguas iranianas, junto com o persa médio e o parto, e possui um amplo corpus literário.
Sogdian. The Sogdian script developed from the Aramaic and was first used during the 4th century AD. The earliest form of the script, shown below, was used to write letters and for inscriptions. A cursive version of the script was used in secular documents, royal proclamations, and Buddhist and Manichaen manuscripts.
