Sir Mark Potter is an English judge who was President of the Family Division and Head of Family Justice for England and Wales from 2005 – 2010. Sir Mark left The Perse to read law at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He was called to the commercial Bar in 1961, and took silk in 1980.
Sir Mark Potter was educated in Cambridge, first at Perse School, and then at Gonville & Caius College, where he studied law after completing national service in the Royal Artillery. He was called to the Bar by Gray's Inn in 1961, and became a tenant at Fountain Court Chambers.
