Samuel George Davis Sr. (December 12, 1900 – May 21, 1988) was an American dancer and the father of entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. Early life. Davis was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Rosa B. Taylor (1870–1956) and Robert Davis (1868–1948). He and his former wife Elvera Sanchez were both dancers in a vaudeville troupe.

Samuel George Davis Sr. (Wilmington, Carolina del Norte, 12 de diciembre de 1900-Beverly Hills, California, 21 de mayo de 1988) fue un bailarín estadounidense, quien fue padre del artista Sammy Davis Jr.
Sammy Davis Jr. was 16 years old at this time and became part of the main vaudeville act, replacing Colbert. They performed from the 1920s through the 1960s. The trio stopped performing when Sammy Davis Jr. was called to serve in the Army in 1943, but resumed their activity after the end of the war in Portland, Oregon.
