Paul McGuigan (born 19 September 1963) is a Scottish film and television director, best known for directing films such as Lucky Number Slevin, Gangster No. 1 and Push. He has also directed episodes of Sherlock, Scandal, Monroe and Smash. He was born in Bellshill Maternity Hospital, Scotland.
Paul is a Bafta and Emmy nominated director known for Sherlock, Lucky Number Slevin, Inside Man and Film Stars Don't Die In Liverpool. Born in Bellshill, Scotland he started his professional life as a photographer and then documentary filmmaker. His first film was Acid House in 1998 which is an adaptation of Irvine Welsh short stories collection.
