Michael A. Elliott is an American scholar of English literature and academic administrator. He became the 20th president of Amherst College on August 1, 2022. Education and career. Elliott received his B.A. from Amherst College in 1992 and Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1998 with distinction in English and comparative literature.
