Kenneth Halliwell (1926–1967) was an actor, writer, and artist. He was the partner of Joe Orton, whom he murdered in 1967 before committing suicide. Halliwell was born in Bebington in the Wirral. In 1944 he registered as a conscientious objector and was sent to work as a coal miner.

2 de ago. de 2017 · Orton had been bludgeoned to death by his boyfriend, Kenneth Halliwell, just as he was beginning to reap the rewards of his writing career. The murder, and Halliwell’s suicide, were discovered on 9 August 1967, when Orton was due at a meeting to discuss his Beatles’ script.
