John Carey, 2nd Earl of Dover, Viscount Rochford and Baron Hunsdon, was buried in the Carey family vault in St John the Baptist's chapel in Westminster Abbey on 1st June 1677. His second wife Lady Abigail Carey, Countess of Dover was buried in the Abbey on 16th February 1688.
