Herman Ole Andreas Wold (Skien, 25 de dezembro de 1908 — 16 de fevereiro de 1992) foi um economista e estatístico sueco nascido na Noruega. Wold foi conhecido por seu trabalho em economia matemática, em análise de série temporal e em estatística econométrica.
Herman Ole Andreas Wold (25 December 1908 – 16 February 1992) was a Norwegian-born econometrician and statistician who had a long career in Sweden. Wold was known for his work in mathematical economics, in time series analysis, and in econometric statistics.
Partial least squares was introduced by the Swedish statistician Herman O. A. Wold, who then developed it with his son, Svante Wold. An alternative term for PLS is projection to latent structures, but the term partial least squares is still dominant in many areas.
