Sir David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk, 1st Baron Carnegie of Kinnaird, 1st Baron Carnegie, of Kinnaird and Leuchards (1575–1658) was a Scottish nobleman. He was a member of the Privy Council of Scotland and held the office of Lord of Session. He was created an earl in 1633.

David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk was born in 1575. He was the son of Rt. Hon. David Carnegie of Kinnaird and Eupheme Wemyss. A contract for the marriage of David Carnegie, 1st Earl of Southesk and Margaret Lindsay was signed on 8 October 1595. He was invested as a Knight in 1603.
