Arthur Hiller Penn (September 27, 1922 – September 28, 2010) was an American filmmaker, theatre director, and producer. He was a Tony Award winner, and was nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Director , as well as a BAFTA Award , a Golden Globe , two Primetime Emmys .
Arthur Penn was a director and producer of acclaimed films such as Bonnie and Clyde, The Miracle Worker and Little Big Man. He was born in 1922 in Philadelphia, married to Peggy Maurer, and died in 2010 in New York.
