Wilhelm Leopold Colmar Freiherr von der Goltz, auch bekannt als Goltz Pascha (* 12. August 1843 in Adlig Bielkenfeld (Ostpreußen); † 19. April 1916 in Bagdad ), war ein preußischer Generalfeldmarschall, osmanischer Armeeoberbefehlshaber, Militärhistoriker und - schriftsteller.
Born 12 August 1843 in Labiau, Prussia. Died 19 April 1916 in Baghdad, Mesopotamia. Colmar von der Goltz was one of pre-war Germany’s most outstanding and controversial military theoreticians. His publications had a considerable impact on military thought and the role of armed forces within society around the world.
