John Frederick Lewis (1804–1876) was an English Orientalist painter who specialized in detailed watercolour or oils of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean scenes. He lived in Cairo for several years and painted realistic and idealized views of Islamic architecture, furnishings, and costumes.

John Frederick Lewis (1804–1876) was an English watercolourist who travelled extensively in the Middle East and painted colourful and detailed views of harems and bazaars. He was the son of another painter, Frederick Christian Lewis, and had a brother who also became an artist.
