Linda Jane Laubenstein (May 21, 1947 – August 15, 1992) was an American physician and early HIV/AIDS researcher. She was among the first doctors in the United States to recognize the AIDS epidemic of the early 1980s; she co-authored the first article linking AIDS with Kaposi's sarcoma.
This collection includes photographs, autobiographical essays, a diary, and other biographical material; letters to Laubenstein's parents after her death; and bylaws, correspondence, and other records of Multitasking Systems of New York.

Biography. Linda Laubenstein was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1947 to Priscilla (Martin) Laubenstein and George Laubenstein. She contracted polio as a young child and subsequent surgeries left her partially paralyzed at the age of five.
