Laurent Schwartz (Paris, 5 de março de 1915 — Paris, 4 de julho de 2002) foi um matemático francês. Recebeu a Medalha Fields, pela elaboração da teoria das distribuições. Estudou matemática na Escola Normal Superior de Paris e doutorou-se em 1943 na Universidade de Estrasburgo.
Laurent-Moïse Schwartz (French:; 5 March 1915 – 4 July 2002) was a French mathematician. He pioneered the theory of distributions, which gives a well-defined meaning to objects such as the Dirac delta function. He was awarded the Fields Medal in 1950 for his work on the theory of distributions.
