Barnim XI (1501–1573; by some accounts Barnim IX), son of Bogislaw X, Duke of Pomerania, became duke on his father's death in 1523.
When Barnim IX Pobożny Gryfita was born on 2 December 1501, his father, Bogusław X Wielki Gryfita, was 47 and his mother, Anna Jagiellonka, was 25. He married Anna von Braunschweig Lüneburg on 2 February 1525, in Stettin, Duchy of Pomerania. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters.

Barnim IX, znany też jako Barnim XI, w historiografii występujący z przydomkiem Stary lub Pobożny (ur. 2 grudnia 1501, zm. 2 listopada 1573 w Grabowie) – książę z pomorskiej dynastii Gryfitów, syn Bogusława X, pierwszy protestancki książę Pomorza.
Barnim X, or according to another account Barnim XII (15 February 1549, in Wolgast – 1 September 1603, in Szczecin) was a duke of Pomerania and a member of the House of Griffins. He administered from 1569, the Rügenwalde district.
No dia 2 de fevereiro de 1525, aos vinte e dois anos, Ana casou-se com o duque Barnim IX, na cidade de Estetino, na atual Polônia. Ele era filho do duque Bogislau X da Pomerânia e de Ana Jagelão, princesa da Polônia, e portanto, irmão de Sofia da Pomerânia, rainha da Dinamarca e Noruega como esposa de Frederico I da Dinamarca.
