Murad II foi o sexto governante Otomano, era filho de Maomé I com Emine Hatun. Nasceu em Junho de 1404 em dia que a historiografia não consegue precisar. Reinou em dois momentos o primeiro entre 26 de Maio de 1421 e Agosto de 1444, e num segundo momento de Setembro de 1446 até a sua morte a 3 de Fevereiro de 1451.
