Jean-Charles Pichegru (French pronunciation: [ʒɑ̃ ʃaʁlə piʃˈɡʁy]; 16 February 1761 – 5 April 1804) was a French general of the Revolutionary Wars. Under his command, French troops overran Belgium and the Netherlands before fighting on the Rhine front.

The Pichegru Conspiracy, otherwise known as the Cadoudal Affair was a conspiracy involving royalists Jean-Charles Pichegru and Georges Cadoudal who wished to overthrow Napoleon Bonaparte 's military regime. [1] . They were apprehended and sentenced to death, but not before the rumors of their plot reached Napoleon.
