Alec Brook-Krasny became acquainted with Councilman Howard Lasher and Assemblyman Jules Polonetsky, who appointed him to Community Board 13. Two years later Alec’s hard work and leadership were recognized by his colleagues who elected him the treasurer of the community board.
Now in his second stint as an Assemblymember, Alec Brook-Krasny has fought to restore funding to the New York City Police Department, rebuild our criminal justice system, reverse bail reform, lift struggling schools, support small businesses, and help the middle class recover from the economic downturn.
