Leonard Gyllenhaal (3 December 1752 – 13 May 1840) was a Swedish nobleman, military officer and entomologist.
Anders Leonard Gyllenhaal emigrated to the United States in 1865. A prominent member of this younger branch hitherto was Leonard Gyllenhaal (1752–1840). In 1807, he was created a Knight of the Royal Order of Vasa for his scientific work as an entomologist, including his monograph on Swedish insects, Insecta Suecia descripta.

Gyllenhaal schrieb sich 1769 als Student in Uppsala ein und studierte dort Botanik und Entomologie bei Carl von Linné und Carl Peter Thunberg.
