John Morley, 1st Viscount Morley of Blackburn, OM, PC, FRS, FBA (24 December 1838 – 23 September 1923), was a British Liberal statesman, writer and newspaper editor.

He ended his political career as the first and only Viscount Morley of Blackburn, the septuagenar-ian senior statesman of Asquith’s Cabinet, and the butt of some of his colleagues’ humour for his political timidity and dislike of the new agenda of social reform.
