Grigori Yakovlevich Sokolnikov [a] (born Hirsch Brilliant or Girsh Yankelevich Brilliant; [b] 15 August 1888 – 21 May 1939) was a Russian Old Bolshevik revolutionary, economist, and Soviet politician.
