Thomas Radclyffe (or Ratclyffe), 3rd Earl of Sussex KG (c. 1525 – 9 June 1583), was Lord Deputy of Ireland during the Tudor period of English history, and a leading courtier during the reign of Elizabeth I.
THOMAS RADCLYFFE,* third Earl of Sussex (c.1525-1583), lord-lieutenant of Ireland, eldest son of Henry, 2nd earl of Sussex, by his first wife, Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd duke of Norfolk, was born about 1525, and after his father's succession to the earldom in 1543 was styled Viscount Fitzwalter.

He was the first governor of Ireland to attempt, to any considerable extent, enforcement of English authority beyond the Pale.
