James Armand Edmond de Rothschild DCM DL (1 December 1878 – 7 May 1957), sometimes known as Jimmy de Rothschild, was a British Liberal politician and philanthropist, from the wealthy Rothschild international banking dynasty.

Rothschild held important roles in business and British public life, and was active in charitable and philanthropic areas.
James de Rothschild was the most extraordinary of the wealthy aristocrats who played a key part in keeping the Liberal Party going in the 1930s. Despite his many other interests and close personal relations with the Tory elite, he was was always loyal to the Liberal cause twice following the party into the wilderness in 1931 and 1945.
