Édouard de Curières de Castelnau. Général français (Saint-Affrique 1851-Montastruc-la-Conseillère 1944). Il livra en août 1914 la bataille de Morhange et sauva Nancy par sa résistance au Grand-Couronné. En 1915, il commanda le groupe d'armées du Centre et dirigea la bataille de Champagne.
