Martin Schulz (20 de dezembro de 1955 em Eschweiler, Renânia) é um político alemão, foi Presidente do Parlamento Europeu de 2012 até 2017. Filiado ao Partido Social-Democrata da Alemanha-SPD (filiado à Internacional Socialista).

Martin Schulz (* 20. Dezember 1955 in Hehlrath) ist ein ehemaliger deutscher Politiker ( SPD ). Von 1987 bis 1998 war Schulz ehrenamtlicher Bürgermeister von Würselen. Von 1994 bis 2017 war er Mitglied des Europäischen Parlaments und von 2012 bis 2017 dessen Präsident. [1]

Martin Schulz foi eleito Presidente do Parlamento Europeu a 17 de Janeiro de 2012 para um mandato de dois anos e meio, com 387 votos. Em 1 de julho de 2014, foi reeleito Presidente com 409 votos, tornando-se o primeiro Presidente na história do Parlamento Europeu a ser eleito para um segundo mandato.
