  5. Edward Arthur Alexander Shackleton, Baron Shackleton. A geographer and Labour Party politician, and was the son of the Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. In 1934 Shackleton organised the Oxford University Ellesmere Land Expedition and choose Gordon Noel Humphreys to lead it.
