Walter James Wolffe FRSE FSAScot FRIAS (born 20 December 1962) is a Scottish advocate who served as Lord Advocate from 2016 to 2021. He previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Advocates from 2014 to 2016, and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Advocates from 2013 to 2014.

16 de jun. de 2021 · Dorothy Bain, who secured the first conviction of serial killer Peter Tobin, has been nominated by the first minister to become Scotland's top law officer. She will succeed James Wolffe, who announced his resignation after the recent Holyrood election.
James Wolffe KC is a barrister and former Lord Advocate of Scotland. He has a wide-ranging public and commercial law practice and has argued cases in the UK Supreme Court.
