Overview. In Love with Barbara is a 2008 drama television film, inspired by the life of the romantic novelist Barbara Cartland, which tells the story of what made her the Queen of Romance.
Synopsis. The lives and loves of prolific romantic authour Barbara Cartland, contrasting her unhappy life with her idealised writings. The film shows the young Barbara (Sinead Matthews) in an unhappy first marriage, she also looses family and friends in WW1 and 2.
