Film Synopsis. T he baron de Saint-Rambert is a misanthropic old man who, despite his wealth, has no friends, and no apparent heir. His servants hope to inherit a share of his fortune, as does the countess de Morhange, whose plan is to marry the old man.
Tu m'as sauvé la vie : Le baron de Saint-Rambert est un vieil égoïste, qui vit seul avec ses domestiques. Il est en butte aux assiduités de sa voisine, une comtesse au tempérament incendiaire. Un jour, on sonne à la porte: c'est une espèce de clochard philosophe à la recherche d'un emploi.
