Manguari Pistolão is an anonymous militant who has been fighting for 40 years for causes that he considers revolutionary. Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 1959. Director and screenwriter, Furtado has a long career in film and television. Among his most important works are the short films O Dia em que Dorival Encarou a Guarda (1986), Isle of Flowers (1989) and This Is Not Your Life (1991).
