English. Road to Zanzibar is a 1941 American semi- musical comedy film directed by Victor Schertzinger and starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour, and marked the second of seven pictures in the popular "Road to …". series made by the trio. It takes place in the Sultanate of Zanzibar.
Bing Crosby and Bob Hope star as two friends who get involved in a diamond mine scheme and a slave rescue mission in Africa. Dorothy Lamour joins them as a con-woman and a damsel in distress in this 1941 sequel to Road to Singapore.

Synopsis. Circus performers Chuck Reardon and Hubert "Fearless" Frazier flee an African town when their human cannonball act accidentally causes the circus to burn down. After diamond mine owner Charles Kimble saves them from arrest in another town, Chuck, always on the lookout for instant wealth, purchases a diamond mine from him.
