The Manions of America is a six-hour miniseries for American television made in 1981. The subject of the series were Irish immigrants to the United States during the Great Famine of the mid-19th century.
Rory O'Manion (Pierce Brosnan) is a poor worker in Ireland who is hopelessly in love with Rachel Clement (Kate Mulgrew), the wealthy, beautiful daughter of his English landlord.
