After Ginny La Rosa's trucker husband, Jack LaRosa (Fred Willard), is wounded in a shootout with hijackers, she takes up trucking with the help of a friend of her husband, Flatbed Annie (Annie Potts) - a trucker without a truck - to drive his $80,000 Mack Superliner so they can keep making the payments on.
