Mike Tirico ( / tɪˈriːkoʊ /; born December 13, 1966) [1] is an American sportscaster. He is currently the NFL play-by-play announcer on NBC 's Sunday Night Football, having replaced Al Michaels in 2022. From 2006 to 2015, Tirico served as a play-by-play announcer on ESPN 's Monday Night Football. [2] .
Mike Tirico is a versatile and acclaimed sports broadcaster who hosts and calls various events for NBC Sports, including Sunday Night Football, Olympics, Triple Crown, and U.S. Open. He has won multiple Sports Emmys and worked for ESPN/ABC for 25 years before joining NBC in 2016.
