The new Media and Entertainment Distribution group will be led by Kareem Daniel and will oversee operations of Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Star.
Disney Media Distribution (DMD) is responsible for the international distribution of The Walt Disney Company’s branded and non-branded content to all platforms, encompassing television, broadband and mobile outlets. The division distributes more than 30,000 hours of programming to over 1,300 platform partners across 240 territories worldwide.
Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, along with The Simpsons and much more. In select international markets, it also includes the general entertainment content brand, Star.
