James Andrew Wynn Jr. (born March 17, 1954) is an American jurist. He serves as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and formerly served on both the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Biography. Appointed by President Obama, Judge James A. Wynn, Jr. was confirmed in August 2010 by the United States Senate to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. Previously, he served for twenty years as an appellate judge on both the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of North Carolina.
