Michael J. McShane (born 1961) is an American lawyer serving as the chief United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. He previously served as a state court judge on the Oregon Multnomah County Circuit Court from 2001 to 2013.

Michael J. McShane (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and the Ph.D. degrees in bioengineering and biomedical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 1994 and 1999, respectively.
Dr. Mike McShane's laboratory focuses on the modeling, design, fabrication and testing of small-scale analytical devices, particularly photoluminescent biosensors.
