Jean Armour (25 February 1765 – 26 March 1834), also known as the "Belle of Mauchline", was the wife of the poet Robert Burns. She inspired many of his poems and bore him nine children, three of whom survived into adulthood.

Wife of the poet Robert Burns. Creative Commons CC by NC. About this artwork. Jean Armour was the daughter of a stonemason in Mauchline, Ayrshire, where she met Robert Burns in 1784. When Jean fell pregnant Burns was reluctant to marry her but did apparently promise that he would stick by her.
Jean Armour is the creative practice of Robin Cornuelle, and is inspired by her two grandmothers, both named Jean.
Jean Armour (1765–1834) was a Scottish woman who had nine children with the poet Robert Burns, whom she met in 1784 and married in 1788. She was the subject of several of his poems, such as 'To a Mountain Daisy' and 'To a Mouse', and is remembered for her singing and dancing skills.
