Karin Büttner-Janz (née Janz, born 17 February 1952) is a German medical doctor who won world and Olympic gold medals in artistic gymnastics for East Germany. From 1990 to 2012, she was chief physician of clinics in Berlin, Germany. She has a foundation named Spinefoundation.
Karin Büttner-Janz (* 17. Februar 1952 in Hartmannsdorf als Karin Janz), ist eine ehemalige deutsche Kunstturnerin und Medizinerin. Sie war zweifache Olympiasiegerin bei den Olympischen Spielen 1972 (Pferdsprung und Stufenbarren), Weltmeisterin 1970 (Stufenbarren), vierfache Europameisterin und 20-fache DDR-Meisterin.
