Klaus Balkenhol (born 6 December 1939 in Velen) is a German equestrian and Olympic champion. He won a gold medal in team dressage at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona with the team from Germany.

Klaus Balkenhol ist Gründungsmitglied der 2006 gegründeten Xenophon e.V. – Gesellschaft für Erhalt und Förderung der klassischen Reitkultur. Er war zunächst zweiter Vorsitzender, später erster Vorsitzender.
Von 1996 bis 2000 war Klaus Balkenhol Bundestrainer der deutschen Dressur-Equipe, mit der zweimal Olympisches Mannschaftsgold gewann. 2001 übernahm er das Amt des National Coach der US-amerikanischen Dressurreiter, das er bis 2008 innehatte.
