Nives Meroi (born 17 September 1961 in Bonate Sotto) is an Italian mountaineer and a climbing writer. On 11 May 2017 she completed the ascent of all 14 eight-thousanders using the alpine style of climbing and without supplementary oxygen.
Nives Meroi è un'alpinista italiana. Tra le maggiori alpiniste donne della storia, insieme al marito Romano Benet, anch'egli alpinista, ha scalato tutti i 14 ottomila, senza l'uso di ossigeno supplementare né portatori d'alta quota. I due sono la prima coppia in assoluto a riuscire nell'impresa.

13 de mar. de 2024 · Peter Hamor of Slovakia is again joining Italian couple Nives Meroi and Romano Benet to try the unclimbed south face of Kangbachen (7,902m). It is the westernmost point of the Kangchenjunga massif. Meroi and Benet first attempted the huge rock-and-ice face back in 2019, reaching 6,300m.
Nives Meroi from Italy has conquered eleven of the 14 8 thousand metre peaks. She is one of the world's most successful professional mountaineers.
