Fujiwara no Kamatari was a Japanese politician and aristocrat who founded the Fujiwara clan and launched the Taika Reform with Emperor Tenji. He was a Shinto supporter who opposed Buddhism and became the Inner Minister and the Taishokan of Japan.

Kamatari Fujiwara was a Japanese stage and film actor who appeared in over 200 films between 1933 and 1984. He worked with directors such as Akira Kurosawa, Mikio Naruse, Yasujirō Ozu and others, and received the Order of the Sacred Treasure in 1981.
