Chūichi Nagumo (南雲 忠一, Nagumo Chūichi?, Yonezawa, 25 de março de 1887 – Saipan, 6 de julho de 1944) foi um almirante da Marinha Imperial do Japão, comandante da esquadra japonesa que lançou o ataque a Pearl Harbor, [1] iniciando a Guerra do Pacífico, durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Chūichi Nagumo (南雲 忠一, Nagumo Chūichi, 25 March 1887 – 6 July 1944) was an admiral in the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during World War II. Nagumo led Japan's main carrier battle group, the Kido Butai, in the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Indian Ocean raid and the Battle of Midway.
Nagumo Chūichi, scored a stunning tactical victory over the U.S. Pacific Fleet at anchorage in Pearl Harbor. An unbroken string of naval victories followed this attack for six months, and Yamamoto’s prestige reached new heights by the late spring of 1942.
